Three Ways To Speed Up Dispensary Transactions

A seamless dispensary customer experience is the name of the game when it comes to retention and optimizing your business practices. Having customers leave happy but also leave promptly keeps your team focused on the next and subsequent sale and keeps the momentum up. A sluggish customer experience is not a good customer experience where. We want to empower you to optimize. Here we have tips on how to speed up the customer experience in your dispensary, especially regarding payments.

Promote Online Orders

Want to get those orders rolling in before the customer even pulls into your parking lot? It’s time to turn on click-and-collect. Online orders are not a new concept, but for dispensaries, they weren’t popular until the pandemic hit and the public was forced to limit time outside. With that, the rise of delivery, curbside, and online orders was prioritized across states and industries. Thankfully, the practice still makes sense for many shoppers, and online ordering can be an excellent way for regulars to secure their favorite products before they arrive. Promote your online ordering platform via social, text messages, and emails and frame it around two pillars- saving the customer time and securing their favorites before they sell out. By telling them you can save something as valuable as time, you’re prioritizing that customer and showing you care. By offering the security of locking in their favorite strains or products, you’re also creating a sense of urgency to pick up your favorites before they sell out. Show them you care, then incite FOMO- that’s how we drive online orders.

Build Rapport

Also, to show your customers you care, encourage your budtenders or floor advisers to get to know their regulars. Some shifts will see the same person coming in for their after-shift pre-roll or someone’s weekly ounce. Buddying up to those customers and anticipating their needs can pay off. If a budtender recognizes someone, they can suggest a specific item they’d love and skip some of the processes of walking through displays or offering different strains. If you know you have a dab aficionado that loves heavy limonene and they’re met with a budtender offering a Super Lemon Haze rosin, it cuts down on the searching and keeps them moving fast through your shop. Show your guests that their ongoing support is building a relationship while helping them shop faster.

Charge the iPads

We love building these relationships with your guests, but you can’t always get to know your guests. Somedays, you’re slammed, and one of the best ways to get people in and out quickly is to bust out the iPads. By arming your budtenders with iPads, they have a menu source and a handheld ordering system. Without walking a guest through a show floor or between display cases, a budtender can walk through the menu and see live updates of product quantities. From here, a budtender can also place that order, even if they’re in fulfillment or a budtender dispensary model. Some dispensaries run customer experiences exclusively on iPads, while others utilize them as handheld line-busting tools- either way, it’s a technology worth adapting to your ongoing processes.
